Take advantage of your coax
MSOs can leverage their existing copper infrastructure (coax) in MDUs to deliver multi-gigabit high-speed internet and 4K IPTV without the significant capital investment, construction, or operational expenses associated with FTTH deployment.
Fi-Speed technology bridges the gap by offering a cost-effective alternative to full fiber builds, enabling fiber-level speeds over existing coax cabling. The Fi-Speed-2.5G-MN-xx Micronode connects a 10 Gbps Ethernet or XGS-PON uplink and distributes 2.5 Gbps of data throughput on up to 4 coax outputs over a distance of up to 275 meters (three football fields), serving up to 124 Fi-Speed CNUs (modems) within an MDU or community.
With MoCA Access technology, Fi-Speed provides:
- Fiber-like performance over coax with 2.5 Gbps of symmetrical throughput
- Very low latency (<3ms coax+fiber round trip) for a seamless user experience
Reliable, stable wired connections are ideal for high-bandwidth, simultaneous device usage
- Plug-and-play deployment with no need to dig or run new cabling to each home
- Remote powering of the Micronode via Intelligent Power over Coax, eliminating the need for local power at the node
Fi-Speed supports all connected devices within the MDU, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, 4K streaming devices, smart TVs, gaming consoles, VOIP, IPTV, OTT, and VOD services. By utilizing existing coax, MSOs can deliver efficient, symmetrical multi-gigabit broadband to every subscriber in the building quickly and cost-effectively—making Fi-Speed the future of HFC networks.
